Health instructions

On the university campus

  • The auditoriums and lecture/seminar rooms can be used at full capacity (one seat to one seat).
  • Masks must be worn inside all buildings (auditoriums, study rooms, libraries, laboratories, etc.). Outside, masks must be worn in high frequency areas. In general, masks are strongly recommended throughout the campus.
  • Due to the difficulty of being audible in a large audience, for groups of more than 50 people, the teacher/speaker is exempted from wearing a mask provided that a physical distance of at least 3 metres is maintained between him/her and the participants.
  • Hand hygiene is a major health protection action. It is compulsory to wash or disinfect hands systematically when entering a building.

In Brussels

  • It is still compulsory for people over the age of 12 to wear a mask in the following cases:
    • in the interior of public transport, railway stations and airports;
    • in shops and supermarkets;
    • in health care facilities;
    • for staff and patients/clients of medical and non-medical contact professions.
  • According to the information available so far, the obligation to present a Covid Safe Ticket at the entrance of cafés, restaurants, museums, cultural events (gathering more than 50 people), etc., will only be applicable on the territory of the Brussels region as of October 15, 2021.
